Animo High Schools’ applications have had due dates throughout December. Going to an Animo high school is recommended by staff, students, and teachers at Animo Jefferson Charter Middle School including Viviana Martinez and  Fernando Maus.

Viviana Martinez, an 8th grader at AJCMS, says that she applied to Animo Ralph Bunche because she said her brother attended that school and now he’s in college and he’s doing well. She said she applied to Animo Pat Brown because she’s heard good things about that school. She said that in a school, she looks for classes like art classes and something to keep her busy during her four years. She said that going to an Animo high school will prepare her because she said “…they’re both Animo’s and I think Animo school are better…” She said that she feels that she won’t be ignored by teachers and going somewhere else will mean a lot of kids. She says that she found out she got accepted to Animo Ralph Bunche while at the lottery but she said “I’ll feel kind of sad ’cause I really want to go there.” She said that if she doesn’t get into Animo Pat Brown, she’ll come to Animo Ralph Bunche for a year and the next she’ll try to get into Pat Brown. She said that overall, any Animo high school will help her because she said they’re really a good schools.

Fernando Maus, another 8th grader at AJCMS, says that he only applied to Animo Ralph Bunche because, “not only my brother goes there, but it seems pretty helpful and nice.” He says he looks forward to being more successful and being able to learn more things and graduate from college. Fernando said it’s important to be prepared because he wants a career.

He hopes to get in the school because  he says if he were to be on  the waiting list, he’ll feel disappointed because he doesn’t want to go to a school that might not be as good as that school. He said that Animo high schools are good because they’ll prepare you for college, leadership, and life.
