This is what the ballots on which the eighth graders voted on looked like.

On Friday, February 21, English teacher Teresa Vorgias  passed out voting ballots to her eighth grade classes to vote for the theme of the eighth grade dance as well as teacher Nathaniel Broguiere who did this on Monday, February 24.

The themes for the dance were Mardi Gras, Enchanted Castle, and Under the Sea. Vorgias said that these were some of the most popular junior high dance themes.

Along with students voting for the dance theme, eighth graders also got to vote for the color of their eighth grade shirts. The choices were yellow, blue, and white.

Vorgias said, “The ballot was created because those were the three colors that are the shirt possibilities that we can have for our school. The shirt does need to fall under uniform code, and yellow, white, and blue are all part of the uniform.”

The votes, according to Vorgias, were counted on Monday, February 24. Vorgias said the results of the votes will soon be announced.
