Fundraising money for the ones in need

Parent Volunteer Maira Galvez is putting the top cookie on the ice cream sandwich. She helped out Student Council members prepare the sandwiches because many people wanted to buy them.
On November 8, Student Council sold ice cream sandwiches to fundraise money for “Navidad en el Barrio” at Animo Jefferson Middle School.
Student Council Advisor Gabriela Dampier said, “Mr.Carbajal suggested the idea to Ms.Bowyer and I because he remembered when he was in High School his school sold ice cream sandwiches and always made a lot of money.”
Student Council raised $130-$140 by selling 100 ice cream sandwiches and about 20 sodas.
