On January 14, science teachers Vanessa D’Amico and Lora Walters created a baby lab that will help students in seventh grade understand genetics.

“It was fun to do different activities of what we learned,” said Walters.

“I wanted to see how students would react,” said D’Amico.

Students had to have partners so they can play the role of the father and mother. They needed to flip a penny  to get  the characteristics of their baby. When they flipped the coin they would find out the genotype of the baby. After they found out their genotypes, they needed to draw the baby on  different piece of paper and then color it.
