On February 2, 2014, eighth grade SRLA runners Moises Lopez and Chris Ramirez ran the eighteen mile Friendship Run in the windy weather.

Both runners felt great running eighteen miles in the windy weather. “The weather was not affecting me at all because there were cool breezes and it helped me with my breathing. I did felt dizzy because I had a stomach ache,” Moises said.

Chris felt great running the Friendship Run, but also had some challenges.“I felt great running the eighteen mile Friendship Run. The hardest part of running the eighteen mile race was running the four miles, in the beginning the race,” Chris said.

The runners ran about three miles on the Hansen Dam. While on the dam there was a lot of wind breezing, that helped the runners run by giving them fresh air. However, some runners didn’t really like it because the wind didn’t let them concentrate in running, but also they said it was too cold.
