The U.S Military is one of the most important things that this country has and uses. Lots of people don’t want to join since they’re scared or just don’t want to see things that other people see, yet people who are in the military should be respected for their service, especially veterans.

One thing that I can tell you is that in every branch of the military there are 13 ranks and only eight of them have the power to control and command soldiers. A Lieutenant General, which is one of the highest ranks in the military, can command 40,000 soldiers.  According to goarmy.gov, “The Army profession is a unique vocation of experts who are entrusted to defend the Constitution and the rights and interests of the American people. More than an indication of pay grade, Army ranks provide a system of leadership that indicates a soldier’s level of expertise, responsibility and authority inside that profession. Regardless of rank, every soldier has a significant role in the total Army mission.”

I found out that only people who are classified to drive or operate a machine can use them.

The most common branches are the main three: the Air Force, Army, and Marines Corps, even though there is also the Navy and Coast Guard, etc. The main three are the most used at war since they use the basic terrains. For example, when being a Marine you must know that you will be working on water or underwater. For example, to be in the air force you might need to know how to pilot a plane. For a Marine you might have to know how to navigate a boat. For the Army you just need to know how to control tanks and any mobility vehicle. According to the Military.com it says, “In simple terms, the U.S. Armed Forces are made up of the six military branches: Air ForceArmyCoast GuardMarine Corps, Navy and, most recently, Space Force.”

Now changing the subject, the people who control the military are the two government branches. Most people think that the President has control over the military but that is not completely true.

The President has ideas over the military which can only be accepted by the Legislative Branch. The Legislative Branch is the branch that has control over the military by accepting the President’s ideas and commanding the military five-star generals, who are at the Pentagon to send messages to the military and have power over the U.S military.

If you do join the military you will get benefits. According to goarmy.com it states, “Health care professionals who serve as commissioned officers in the U.S. Army Medical Department enjoy a wide range of opportunities and financial incentives including bonuses of up to $400,000.”
