So far this year, there have been many disappointing movies or movies that just didn’t make that much sense. However, there are many exciting movies set to be released later this year. Here are some upcoming movies that I believe are going to be blockbuster hits.
Terrifier 3
To start off strong, I’d like to start off with the horror movie Terrifier 3, set to release October 11, 2024. If you are unfamiliar with these movies, the first one was created October 2016, written and directed by Damien Leone. The first movie revolves around a serial killer clown that dresses and acts like a mime. He finds victims and brutally murders or tortures them for his personal entertainment.
The second movie is a bit different. However, I suggest you watch both in time for the third one’s release. The third movie will be about Art’s third killing spree during the winter holidays. Now I believe that the third movie will be a blockbuster hit because the second movie was also a hit, getting an 83% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Not only that, but over time many people have noticed the movie more. After that more fans have been created, having more people excited for this movie’s release.
Beetlejuice
The second movie is Beetlejuice that has just been announced, getting a rather unexpected sequel to its 80’s classic written and directed by Tim Burton. It’s set to release September 6, 2024, and it will be called Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. The first movie is about the spirits of a deceased couple peacefully living in their home. However, one day they get disturbed by a new rich family in town. The family desires to renovate the old house, while the couple decides to hire a well-known rebellious spirit to drive the new family out of their home.
The second movie will be about one of the family members that moved into the house and how they rediscover their old friend Beetlejuice. I think this movie will be a blockbuster hit because it’s a classic well-known movie and it will let people who grew up with the movie reminisce about their childhood memories.
Venom: The Last Dance
The fourth movie is Venom: The Last Dance. The first two movies, written and directed by Kelly Marcel and Tom Hardy, were about the Marvel character Venom, who is known to be Spiderman’s mortal enemy. The movies were about how Venom/Eddie Brock was created and who he really is, other than a villain. It was also about Venom’s own struggles being a villain yet also fighting other villains in the city. This movie is set to release October 2, 2024.
The new movie will be about Eddie Brock and Venom going on a run while they are both hunted by their own worlds. I think this movie will be a blockbuster hit because it revolves around a well-known, humorous, and loved character.
Joker: Folie à Deux
Lastly, one of the movies that I believe will be a 2024 blockbuster hit is Joker:Folie à Deux (according to Google, its French for “madness of two.”). The first movie written and directed by Todd Phillips is about Batman’s mortal enemy, the Joker. It shares the Joker’s origin story and how he was created and how early life was for him before he met Batman.
To me, there are many obvious reasons why the sequel movie is most likely to be a blockbuster but one of the main ones is that it will be starring the pop-star Lady Gaga as Joker’s lover Harleen Quinzel, also known as Harley Quinn. The movie will be about the Joker and Harley and how they first meet and later in the movie it will explain their relationship and how it became well-known in the DC Universe.
