I interviewed prospective parents of a rising fifth grader about how they felt about the school (AJMS) after walking around the school to learn about what students here learn and what clubs they have. I asked if they would send their kid to this school and if their kid would enjoy attending JMS.
Ashlie Gomez: “What do you think about this school after going on a tour to learn more about it?”
Vanessa Rodriguez: “I like the teachers because I walked into a class and the teacher was teaching well and his students were paying attention to what the teacher was saying and I think that the teacher teaches really good in my opinion.”
AG: “Was there anything that you were told that like and that your kid will also like?”
VR: “I think the point system is a very good idea because it encourages the students to do good in school and not get in trouble. I haven’t seen that other schools have a point system when we went on tours to other schools.”
AG: “Is there anything else that you like about this school?”
VR: “I also think that incentives once a month is a good way of making students want to do good in school so they can have fun and eat food like pizza and ice cream.”
AG: “Do you think you would send your kid here and do you think your kid would enjoy this school?”
VR: “I definitely think that my kid would enjoy the incentives every once a month and how welcoming the classes are too. I think I would send my kid here but I would also have to tell my kid what I learned about this school to tell him how this school is and if he wants to go to AJMS.”
AG: “Okay then that’s all I wanted to ask you for your taking your time to speak with me.”
VR: “Your welcome and it’s not a problem I liked speaking about how I view this school.”
