Have you ever seen or heard of the doll called Annabelle? If not let me tell you a little bit of her story, an urban legend.
The doll was first owned in 1970 by Donna, who was a young nurse in Connecticut. The doll was a birthday present given by her mom. The doll may look very kind but it isn’t. A lot of people said many things about Annabelle but one thing that they would say was that she caused two deaths. Donna and her roommate Angie had to suffer all this paranormal activity for 30 years.
Why Annabelle the doll is dangerous
The doll would move all around Donna’s apartment. For example, Donna left the doll in her room and when she came back from work it would be in different places. While Donna would be sleeping Annabelle would be moving an arm or a leg (History vs Hollywood).
This doll contains a lot of evil because a priest has to come and pray for her and then put some holy water on her and three crosses have to be placed on her glass door (NHregister.com). Many people have retold the same story of Annabelle, which was that she killed two people (History vs Hollywood).
Annabelle the doll would leave some notes for Donna and Angie, and the note would say things like “HELP ME.” Annabelle also attacked a boyfriend when he would come over. The first time this happened Annabelle the doll left a bloody scratch over Angie’s boyfriend’s chest.
The difference between the movie and real situation
The Annabelle movie mostly deals with the history of Annabelle. The doll used in the movie is not the real one. Plus they don’t look alike: they have different textures and materials. The doll used in the movie is more like the dolls we have now, but the actual one looks more like the dolls from the 1900’s (History vs Hollywood).
The characters in the movie are not the same one as the actual thing. The characters in the movie are a husband and wife but in real life it’s Donna and her roommate Angie (History vs Hollywood).
If you ever saw the movie there’s a scene where Mia’s husband throws away the doll in the trash bin but then Mia finds it when unboxing the box. But in reality the owners of Annabelle never threw away the doll (History vs Hollywood).
Where is Annabelle the doll hidden now?
Right now Annabelle the doll is in the Occult Museum in Monroe, Connecticut, which is run by the Warren family, the paranormal investigators involved in the case (ew.com).
Annabelle the doll gets blessed two times a month with holy water and holy oil done by a specialized priest but before he performs this task, he has to put on welding gloves. After that the priest has to bless himself. The doll is also locked up in a wooden frame and has a devil tarot card.
There is nothing to worry about because the Warren family now has Annabelle under control, so nothing paranormal happens anymore. For a little while they tried selling the doll for $2 million dollars but then decided not to because they didn’t want anyone to get hurt.
