Plane crashes are not very common. However recently there have been five air collisions in the United States throughout in 2025 so far. These crashes have made people worried about flying. Even though flying is still one of the safest ways to travel, these crashes have made many people nervous. The chances of being in a plane crash are very low. However, the recent crashes have made people question the safety of their travel.
Gael Rios, who recently returned from a trip to Japan over spring break, shared his opinion about the plane crashes. “I think flying in airplanes is scarier now compared to how it used to be because you never know what could happen. Especially of these reoccurring plane crashes.”
Mr.Finer, who also travels a lot and has kept up with the news about flying, said, “I don’t think I would fly into Newark (NYC) or Washington National airports, given all the chaos and close calls in those places.”
The effect
The airline industry has been effected by these crashes. Many people are choosing not to fly, which has hurt the airlines financially. The crashes have also led to calls for stricter safety rules. Some airlines are responding by increasing maintenance checks on their planes and providing checks on their planes and providing additional training for their pilots. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is responsible for looking over these incidents. They are also taking steps to improve safety. However, people think they need to do more to prevent airplane crashes. (https://www.cnn.com)
