The memories stored in toys

These are three childhood dolls that are placed on a shelf in my closet. On the left is an American Girl doll (Ashlyn), in the middle is a doll gifted to me by my uncle, and on the right is a Disney, Rapunzel doll. I remember playing with these dolls the most, which is why I still have them. Looking at them brings me memories that were filled with smiles and funny moments with my family.

Growing up I was quite honestly spoiled with all kinds of toys, including plushies and dolls. I thought I would never get rid of them and would keep them forever. That can be considered true to some extent. I’ve since gifted my toys to my younger cousins, but there are a few that I’ve kept over the years. Along with the ones that I’ve kept, I’ve gained a few new ones. I might not play with the toys anymore, but they are important to me because of the memories I have associated with them.
