Eighth graders share their experiences throughout their years at JMS

During their years at AJMS, many eighth graders loved the incentives. Eighth grade students have also loved field trips such as the trips to Knott’s Berry Farm and Universal Studios.

Jayren Suarez: My favorite thing about this school is the people, I like the people because some are nice. My favorite experience of the school is the Halloween incentive because of the “haunted hallway.” My least favorite experience was the first day of school because I didn’t like the teachers.

Manuel Martinez: My favorite thing about this school is the incentive the school gives, the incentives are my favorite because we have short classes. My favorite incentive is the Halloween one because of the “haunted hallway” they made. It was a fun experience. My least favorite experience was the Knott’s Berry Farm field trip.

Alexander Alaniz: My favorite thing about school is the people I have met here because some have turned to my close friends. My favorite experience is the field trips. The best one was the Universal Studios. It was really fun to be there. My least favorite experience was the lunch the school gave really bad quality food. My favorite teacher has been Ms. Thomas because she is really kind and fun. My least favorite teacher is Mr. Finer because the subject isn’t interesting to me.

Franklin Mateo: My favorite thing about this school are the monthly incentives, My favorite experience are the field trips like the colleges we go to or the universal field trip, My least favorite experience has to be the presentations that I have to do in my classes, My favorite class is Mr. Balbastro because even though he is strict he still teaches us something. My least favorite class is Mx. Ortiz because she makes us do lots of projects.

Justin Hernandez: My thing about school is culminating eighth grade and doing fun stuff during the summer. My favorite experience is the Halloween incentive. The incentive was fun because people dressed up as cool things and there was a haunted hallway. My least favorite experience was getting made fun of. 

Miguel Velasquez: My favorite thing about this school is how the hallways are big and the classes are good size. My favorite experience about this school is meeting Jeremy and David. My least favorite experience is math because the math that we do isn’t interesting.

Brian Baltazar: My favorite thing about this school is that the school gives opportunities like being able to be in the soccer team, Student Council, etc. My least favorite experience is we have a time limit for the restroom because we should be given more time. My favorite experience was when I got accepted into the soccer team. My least favorite teacher is Mr. Finer because I don’t like the subjects. My favorite teacher is Ms. Bravo because she pushes me to do my best.
