It was first announced on Kyle Kelce’s podcast that mummy pig, from Peppa Pig, was pregnant. Than it was later shown on the Good Morning Britain news channel. Shortly afterwards, word got around and it was posted onto social media platforms such as Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, X (twitter), YouTube, and etc. Many rumors have also been spread around created about this pig.
WHAT IS PEPPA PIG?
Peppa Pig is an animated preschool series, directed and produced by Astley Baker Davies, where most of the characters are animals. Peppa’s family are pigs and her fiends are Suzie Sheep, Danny Dog, Pedro Pony, and many others. Peppa, who is currently four years old, has a little brother named George Pig, who is two years old. Her parents, who are referred to as Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig, are also part of the main cast of this show. Now Peppa and her family have someone else to welcome into their family.
EVIE PIG
It has been reported on many social media platforms that there will be a new member joining the Peppa Pig family. According to Peppa Pig World, “Mummy Pig’s new baby is called Evie, a new sibling for Peppa and George.” Evie Pig was born on May 20, 2025. New Dheli Television reported in simpler terms that Evie’s name was inspired from Mummy Pig’s aunt, who was also named Evie. Evie pig was born in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in London, the same location where Kate Middleton gave birth to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
WHO IS THE REAL FATHER: FAN SPECULATION
Gloria Salazar stated, “I found it out on Instagram and I think she cheated because the color of the baby is slightly different from all of them.”
Many have been saying in the media that they think Mummy Pig cheated on Daddy Pig. This trend was gaining much recognition for its humor. Some disguised themselves as characters from the show and say that they are the real “father” under comment sections of Peppa Pig posts during the time Mummy Pig was pregnant.
Though suspicions have been made, it is guaranteed that Mummy Pig did not cheat on Daddy Pig and is very thrilled to be having her third child.
REACTIONS FROM FANS AND ACTUAL CHARACTERS
“The baby looks ugly and it looks like it lost its soul,” Heidi Aracen stated.
Gloria Salazar’s first impression was the same as Heidi’s but later stated finding the newborn pig cute.
Leslie Rosales stated, “the baby is very adorable. I like the little heart on its cheek.”
Dulce Martinez said, “I think it looks cute but also a little dumb because it looks like it doesn’t know what it’s doing.”
On Slate, it states the reaction of Katie Tobin, who said, “This event, if we can call it one in the first place given that Mummy Pig is an animated cartoon, has gotten more traction than any celebrity birth I can remember, except the birth of Prince George (the future king).” Which shows, in a more humorous way, that she finds it strange to see how much attention this animated cartoon is receiving all because of the birth of Evie Pig.
Now for the reactions of the characters in Peppa Pig. Daddy Pig and Mummy Pig have described Evie as a miracle. Daddy Pig was recalled as being emotional in the Hello Magazine, where it states,
“Mummy Pig: But we were very lucky – everything went smoothly and in eight, um, “short” hours of labour Evie was here.
Daddy Pig: You were amazing. I’m so proud! [Sob] Oh, that’s me off again.”
Evie’s older siblings, Peppa Pig and George, have felt a mix of feelings but they were mostly excited and welcomed her with open arms.
