After a long week of testing, students were rewarded with a fun SBAC carnival for their hard work. Student Council had set up everything for AJMS students and teachers to enjoy. We asked students and teachers about their experience during the SBAC carnival.
Kimberly Segura, an eighth grader, said she had a lot of fun enjoying the games. She said one of the down sides was that it was crowded. She said she didn’t get to play the soccer game since there was a really long line. She ended up having enough time to play most of the games. She said she enjoyed the food that was being given out to the students and that her favorite was the cotton candy.
Ashley Estrada, also an eighth grader, shared her opinion on the SBAC carnival. She said she had fun and liked the food that was given. She wishes there were more games to play, her favorite games were the dunk, the pie in the face, and her favorite, favorite was the gambling game.
“I got addicted and started cutting the line,” Ashley said.
She enjoyed the prizes that Student Leadership gave like the inflatable instruments.
Mr. Finer discussed his experience of being dunked.
He said, “It’s cold. It’s cold, it always surprises me or at least first, it gets in your eyes and then you have to spit the water out.”
He also said he liked how the students were excited to play the games, especially the gambling game. He said that the one thing that could’ve been better was the scheduling since the crowd of Jefferson students and the Ralph Bunche students were all together during passing period.
Overall students and teachers had good things to say about their experiences in being part of the SBAC Carnival.
