I interviewed some students and staff to see what their plans over the summer since summer break is about one to two weeks away. This is what some of their plans are:

Isabella Samayoa-Yanez:

“I’ma go to Mexico to visit my family. I might go to Disneyland with my cousins. I’m going to go to a water park, the beach, and go shopping. I might go to Seattle, and Nebraska to see my dad and brothers. I’m gonna hang out with my friends, I’m gonna try new cooking recipes, and go swimming. I might go to Rockford, Illinois, spend lots of time with my family both on my mom and dad’s side. I also might get some AirBnB’s in other places.”

Jeremy Urbina:

“My plans for summer break are to get in better shape and I also plan to practice more football to ensure that I make the high school football team. I also plan to play a lot of video games including Call of Duty and The Last of Us. Something else I plan to do is hang out with my brother at the mall.”

Irene Torres:

“My summer plans are to travel to Chicago and spend time with my cousins or just my family in general. Um, I’ma also go to Knott’s Berry Farm and the beach, the movies and attend all my family members’ graduations since we are graduating around the same time and most likely set up for the new school year.”

Ms. Briseño:

“Well I bought a ticket to fly into London and I expect to get a train up to Scotland from London. So I will spend a few days in London, so I want to get to know a little bit of London, but I really want to go up to Scotland because I love nature and the natural beauty. So then I’ll come back to London and then I’ll fly back here to get home.”

Xathzire Suarez-Leyva:

“During the summer I’ma go to Universal Studios and go to Vegas to see my family and Cowabunga-Bay. I’m also going to Circus Circus and that Diana is also going to be in Vegas so we might be able to see each other”
