Tips for test taking
April 7 to April 11 will be the last days of instruction before spring break at Animo Jefferson Middle School.
This means that final assignments will be assigned to students.
According to Gabriela Cervantes, AJCMS counselor, “Organize materials, study, try your best, taking deep breaths, get a good night sleep, eat healthy, and eat breakfast in the morning because the foods you eat like soda and chips and other processed foods with sugar give you more pressure. As if you eat fruit and vegetables, they don’t give you pressure.” “Organize materials…don’t worry so much about the pressure.” Cervantes said to use study guides as assistance, review past tests, and do not procrastinate as well.
She also said that the best strategy she used while in school was working in groups and studying every day for a review on vocabulary terms and other material. When the students come back from spring break, their grades do not start out fresh said Cervantes.
Cervantes said, “I would study everyday for a weekly review vocab. term.”
