SRLA students complete the 10k
On October 27,2013 Student Run LA (SRLA) runners ran the 10k race in the City of La Puente to succeed in practicing and experience long running for future events.
During the race the runners had an amazing experience. Eighth grader, Chris Ramirez said,”I felt really good and also proud to complete the race.” In the other hand, eighth grader, Moises Lopez felt happy to complete the race but even though he felt dizzy, he kept on running.”I always have this saying in me, which is fall seven times and stand up eight, this helps me to not give up because I can accomplish my goals,”Moises said.
There are many things that the SRLA runners had experienced and learned. The thing that helped the runners the most was all the preparation they’ve done. They spend their time after school to practice running and exercising. Overall the SRLA students completed the race and had a wonderful experience.
