On August 11, 2010 a church on Trinity and Washington burned down and now a fundraiser is occurring so the people there can raise enough money to rebuild it.

Sarita Denem, a church member said,”I felt terrible. Its a place of worship and the place is destroyed. Its very hard for us.”

The church was burned down because the preacher let homeless people live in the basement. One of them tried to steal from the church and to cover his tracks he burned down the church. The homeless man asked if they were going to press charges and the preacher said no. Now people are raising about 80 dollars a day to rebuild the church.
