Expo and dinner for the SRLA team!

On March 13, 2015 the SRLA team went to NutriBullet Health & Fitness Expo and went to eat at the California Pizza Kitchen.

These are some of the SRLA students that went to the restaurant.

These are some runners that are going to run the LA Marathon. At the bottom from left to right there is Priscila Lopez, Anthony Torres, and Idiel Torres. At the top from left to right there is Alondra Banda, Jocelyn Palacios, and Anthony Ayala.

Stephanie Aquino, 8th grade SRLA runner, said, “I feel like it was a first time experience, I mostly enjoyed all the free stuff I got.” Stephanie thought that the restaurant food was good and her favorite food was the fettuccine which she won’t forget.

 Angel Ramos, 8th grade SRLA runner, said, “I felt excited and happy about attending the expo because I was able to spend time with my friend, Andy, and I most enjoyed the free samples, free games, and McCafe.” Angel won’t forget the time with Andy at the restaurant because it was the funnest and felt excited that he was able to eat with friends, he enjoyed the food a lot. His favorite food was the ravioli.

 Andy Espinoza , 8th grade SRLA runner, felt excited seeing all the free samples at the expo and he most enjoyed all the free cookies they were giving, but was caught getting cookies for the fifth time which he won’t forget. He thought that the expo was fun because there was so much stuff to do. Andy felt really happy to spend time with the team at the restaurant. “I most enjoyed eating and the chiles there were, however my favorite food was the ravioli and I will not forget the taste,” said Andy.

 Idiel Torres, 7th grade SRLA runner, thought that the expo was a fun journey and a new experience. He said that he enjoyed the free stuff and spending time with the team. “Eating with the SRLA team was kind of weird because from the beginning we didn’t really talk but eventually I saw the change of how we became a family,” Ideal said. His favorite food was spaghetti and the chiles but he will never forget the spicy chile he ate.

Joseph Zapata, 8th grade SRLA runner, said that he felt that the Expo was a little mediocre. He thought that the people were really nice and he won’t forget people that he met at the expo. Joseph had a fun experience at the restaurant because it was his first time and he felt great to be with friends. Joseph said, “I mostly enjoyed the ravioli at the restaurant.”

 Priscila Lopez, 7th grade SRLA runner, thought that the expo was awesome. Priscila said that she enjoyed the free stuff and that she won’t forget getting the McDonald’s drinks and not winning rice in a game. She thought eating at the restaurant is nice because it was like a family reunion. “It was funny when I stole Mr. Lo’s hat and I really liked recording everyone’s moments,” Priscila said.

The expo and the restaurant were for the team to celebrate with each other what they had accomplished and that they were going to run 26.2 miles (The LA Marathon).
