Some memories from the Spring Fling

As the music fills the air, people start to come in the gym. Student Council is at the front of the gym receiving the students’ tickets and putting a stamp in their hands. The dance has officially started!

Friday 20th of March the annual Spring Fling was held in the gym. The entrance was 5 dollars per student. This ticket included music, food, and a photo booth.This years theme was “A Midnight in Paris.”

Before the dance sixth grader, Natalie Luna said, “I think its going to be fun and you can hang out with friends.” Natalie was excited for the fact that it was her first Spring Fling.

Seventh grader and Student Council member, Martha Ciggaroa,  said that she was excited because she really liked last year’s dance. “Its a good way to end the year.”

At the dance, there was a variety of activities, there was dancing, photo booth pictures, food, and the announcement of this years royalty.

For sixth grade, the duchess is Jisel Martinez and the dutch is Luiz Ramirez. For seventh grade, the prince is Jesus Hernandez and the princess is Lidia Nava. For eighth grade, the queen is Iris Valero and the king is Joandy Hernandez.

Brianna Mendez, sixth grader said, “My experience at this dance was great I will love to go back to this dance again.” Brianna explained that at first she was a bit scared because it was her first dance but after she felt more into the dance. “Its not a dance yes it is a dance but a very important dance to me and other kids I also think that the dance got exposed me and other teachers,” Brianna said.

Seventh grade princess, Lidia Nava, said she liked this years dance because, “I met new friends and got to win the princess role.” Lidia said, “I’ve never been nominated.” For her it was surprising and she felt glad that her friends were there and supported her.

The dance was held from 6pm till 8pm.
