Students on there way to Speedzone

This Friday,  May 29, 2015 the SRLA team and invited guests enjoyed a day at Speedzone being their last trip together. The SRLA team have done many and gone to many places including long distance races, ice skating, and going to the theaters. Students chose to attend Speedzone as a reward for running the marathon last March.

During Speedzone students had a meal that included two pizza slices and a cup of soda, raced on go karts, and played in an arcade with a variety of games. When students arrived they were given pizza in a dining room. The first thing students did after receiving their cards and wristbands which allows them to play anything in speedzone was making line for the go karts. Students had four hours of playing in the arcade and go carting without having to pay.

Student had a great time with their friends, Priscilla Lopez a student who attended said,” I  had lots of  funny moments with my friends  and playing together in the arcade, turbo rides, and having memories with my friends.” This was the case with many students they had lots of fun with their friends and teachers getting to know each other.

Speed zone  it was fun because it was the first time for many people going go carting, lots of people like going go carting because it was a fun new experience it, wasn’t hard but it was new to learn how to drive. One thing everybody is going to remember is the go carting.

This being their last trip and some even leaving to high school next year have gone through a lot together running difficult races then running the marathon. They saw each other every week at practice. SRLA couch Adam Davis said,” This SRLA year it was amazing I got to know great kids and I’m grateful for it.” Most students are joining SRLA next because they have grown as a family.
