Why my sister let me do this with he, I don’t know (I think it’s because I paid her $20) But this interview is us talking about her perspective on what we went through together. All I can say was that it was very different from mine. Most of the time she was a bit shy but sometimes she opened up. This caused me to learn more about her.

She is a small child that sees the world differently than I do.  I think that she didn’t really talk a lot but she still opened up more than normal. We gave a brief summary of our life together and some of the major events that are important to us. We as a family can also have different opinions on the same situation.

Sherlyn Diaz: How do you think your life would be without Valerie?

Jocelyn Diaz:  Umm…

SD: You don’t know?

JD: No.

SD: Umm, so you don’t think like, it’s going to be that different without her?

JD: I mean like [inaudible] cause we don’t really talk that much though the phone. Well I only see her in school, not that much but we don’t talk, that much.

SD: So you don’t think her- your life would be like that different without her right?

JD: Yeah.

SD: So like, how do you think your life would be without our babysitter? Would it be different? Would you think of her as a second mother or like-

JD: Ummm, it wouldn’t be different because we don’t talk again and-

SD: So you think like, different. If we were with Angela then, you think this would have been different right or like not different.

JD: It wouldn’t been different, It would be just a little because we umm grew up with her.

SD: Yeah most of our life like when I was one years old.

JD: And I was a couple of months.

SD: Yeah you were like a couple of months when you got to her

JD: Mhm.

SD: That’s sad though because if we weren’t with Angela then we wouldn’t have known her but like, ten years all that crap, yeah ten years.

JD: Mhm.

SD: So like how you doing today?

JD: I’m good.

SD: That’s great, how do you feel?

JD: I’m good.

SD: How deep do you think our relationship is? As sisters?

JD: What you mean?

SD: Like how do you think we are as sisters? Like are we close? Not close? 

JD: Ummm we are close but not that, that, that, that, close.

SD: But I think we’re close.

JD: Yeah we are.

SD: Yeah we are close.

JD: You don’t even play with me or do anything with me.

SD: But I do sometimes, I just have work.

JD: Umm ok. I have work too!                                                                         

SD: Yeah look, Yo don’t play with me when your doing work so how is that different?

JD: You don’t ASK me to play with you never, just for Roblox!

SD: Yeah but we still play together don’t we?

JD: Sometimes.

SD: Exactly. [sigh] How do you think our life would be without the phone or all of that?

JD: It will be very sad.

SD: Would it be different?

JD: Yeah.

SD: How different?

JD: [Sigh] A lot different.

SD: Oh, Would it hurt us?

JD: No, Only if like, I don’t know

SD: Would it strengthen our relationship as sisters if we didn’t have it?

JD: Yeah.

SD: It would? SO we would play a lot without it right?

JD:Yeah.

SD: That’s what I think too because we are always on our apparatus.

SD and JD: Mhm.

SD: Always and we like, never interact with each other.

JD: Yeah.

SD: That’s kind of sad though because if we didn’t have our apparatus then we would be talking to each other like playing around.                               

JD: Mhm.

SD: [sigh] Sometimes I miss the good old days.

JD: [inaudible] Yeah.

SD: Like when we didn’t have it…… Its fine so like, how, how do you feel as a person right now?

JD: I don’t know.

SD: So like, do you feel like, tired? Like a normal human being or like? Or do you feel different?

JD: Ummm I feel normal-

SD: You feel normal right now?

JD: Yeah.

SD: That’s great! So like, how was your day today?

JD: [snorts] Good.

SD: It was good?

JD: Mhm.

SD: Mmmmmm… Ok, how do you think our life would be without our bunny?

JD: Very sad.

SD: That’s true

JD: Yeah.

SD: Poor guy though, He stays up in the cage all day.

JD: Mhm.

SD: And honestly i want to spend time with him more its just that we don’t have time.

JD: Yeah.

SD: Like your doing your schoolwork and all that.

JD: Yeah.

SD:Hmm so how do you feel like, if we didn’t have school?

JD: It would be really fun, but then you won’t umm, learn stuff too.

SD:That’s true.

JD:Yeah.

SD: Would you like, feel different without your school friends?

JD:Umm I don’t know 

SD: You don’t know?

JD: Like what do you mean by that?

SD: Like would you feel different if you didn’t have your school friends around or you didn’t know them?

JD: Umm..ummm like it would be the same but then I wouldn’t have friends just like my family.

SD: Would you feel lonely?

JD: I wouldn’t.

SD: You wouldn’t?

JD: No.

SD: How so?

JD: Cause I have umm my cousin?

SD: Which cousin?

JD: I have a lot.

SD: Which cousin are you closest to?

JD: I feel ummm closest to like, the one that we see more or how?

SD: Like which one, we have like a bunch.

JD: Like for me umm i don’t know what you’re saying honestly.

SD: Like which cousin do you feel like, closest to like, which one of your favorite?

JD: Oh Dayana.

SD: Dayana?

JD: Yeah.

SD: How so?

JD: I don’t know its cause we have a good relationship together and we umm like [inaudible]

SD: You what?

JD: We hang out sometimes.

SD: Oh ok its fine you don’t have to be serious, like how do you think if we didn’t have Dayana [Inaudible]

JD: If we didn’t have her then it would feel a little different.              

SD; It would feel different like would you feel lonely?

JD: I-

SD: Or would you not know, because you wouldn’t know her?

JD: Yeah I would [inaudible].

SD:Ohhh umm would you like how would you feel with, without like without Tia Flory, Dayanaś mom, how would you feel like without her?

JD: It would be umm a little different because she always used to take care of us sometimes. 

SD: Yeah because sometimes he had to go with our other auntie and that would feel weird because she doesn’t know what we like at all.

JD: Yeah.

SD: Umm so you know Tia Flory and Dayana are not blood related to us right?

JD: Mhm.

SD: But she was adopted into our family [inaudible] it would be cool if like we actually were related but we are related as a family.

JD: Yeah.

SD: Ummm so how would you feel like if [inaudible] Cinthia, Jasmin, and Tia Sandra were not in our family?

JD It would feel different because like Cinthia, she is closer to my age and we are really close too.

SD: Yeah it would hurt, va doler verdad?

JD: Yeah.

SD: Like it would hurt because if we didn’t have any of our cousins or any of my family it would feel different because we would have nobody to hang out with
