“Hi my name is Adrianna Cruz and I am in 8th grade. I have a ring that my grandma gave to me before she left to Mexico. It is very valuable to me because she gave it to me. She was always very kind so it really meant something to me when she gave me the ring. It has been passed down. She had it, my mom had it, my sister had it, and now I do. When she gave me the ring, my reaction was to say “For me?” I didn’t think it would fit me, but surprisingly it did. I would never give the ring away or sell it if I had to because it is very valuable to me, not because of how much money I can get for it, but because it was given to me as a gift and it possesses memories and I wouldn’t wanna sell that.”
