On Feb. 14, Animo Jefferson Middle School had their first No One Eats Alone event put on by students to keep on building bonds between the different grade levels.

Sixth grader, Mialyza Nuno, said that the event helped her make new friends because she got to know more people.

Eighth grader, Viviana Flores, said, “The little shy people [six and seventh graders] won’t feel lonely and would have somebody to count on.”

English teacher, Teresa Vorgias, said, “I thought today went very well.” She also said that she was proud of all the participating students and that this event made students go out of their comfort zone and made them speak to someone new.

At the event, there was music, a raffle, a photo booth, a “Meet and Greet” game, and candy that was given to the people that were participating at the event.
