Alfredo Miranda, a 31 year old male, talks about how his childhood was and his memories from before his adulthood.

His life was tough for him and wasn’t exactly the way he wanted it to be. He didn’t get everything he wanted but later in life he was capable of doing so as he made money.

He mentions during the interview how he had wished to have matured at a younger age, contrary to those who wish they were still child-like and hadn’t matured so early on in life. He wanted to be mature to have a head start, to be ahead in life.

I N T E R V I E W :

Victoria Meza: Okay, what was life like for you as a child?

Alfredo Miranda: Uh, Life for me as a child… It was hard.

VM: Why?

AM: Because I didn’t have everything I wanted when I was a kid.

VM: And what did you want?

AM: I wanted a… When the, when the new Game Boy was out I didn’t have it and whoever had it was like.. like it was like fashion, you know, they were up to date with stuff like that back in the days and then there was like these cards that I always used to want back in the days. And I never had them but now that I grew up I have them now like you know. I have a Game Boy I have uh, all type of stuff because I was able to buy it and afford it.

VM: Okay, what was your favorite memory?

AM: My favorite memory was when my dad was around.

VM: And why?

AM: Why because it was… uh I was more spoiled And when it was, when he was still around he’ll take us to a lot of places.

VM: Like where?

AM: To the beach. To certain like, certain places like far and we’ll have fun. We’ll eat. We’ll have barbecue and stuff like that.

VM: So what was your dream job when you were a child?

AM: My dream job? My dream job was to be a police officer.

VM: And why?

AM: Because I wanted to be a hero and save people and put the criminals in jail.

VM: mm-hmm uhm, What’s something you’ve never forgotten from your childhood.

AM: something that I never forgotten?  I haven’t forgotten, uh that’s a tough one. Something that have not forgotten was my best friend.

VM: And who’s your best friend?

AM: I used to have a best friend. His name was Joey when I was a kid.

VM: Joey?

AM:Yes.

VM: And what did he do?

AM: Well, I knew him in school. He used to live down the street from my house. And every day I would go to his house and would play Nintendo 64 at his house.

VM: What games would you play?

AM: I would play… What was that game called? Conquerors [inaudible].

VM: How do you play that?

AM: It’s a shooting game.

VM: Oh m’kay. What would you tell your younger self if you could? like anything that you wished you knew when you were younger?

AM: To grow up faster. To mature faster.

VM: Is that really what you want? Because a lot of people don’t want that.

AM: Well, I would want that because then I would be ahead of everything.

VM: But sometimes that’s not a good thing.

AM: Well, for me it should have been a good thing because I would have been something in the future because I would have been more mature before, anything.

VM: Well, that’s all. Thank you!
