AJMS builds up school spirit

On Feb. 19, Student Council helped set up a rally at Animo Jefferson Middle School to have a fun event to keep on building school spirit, and to recognize the different scholars at AJMS.

Sixth grader, Lesy Aguilar said, “Yes, I did like the rally because it was really fun and entertaining.”

At the rally, teachers Hayes Burrow,  Adam Davis, and Nathaniel Broguiere, performed a skit that made all students, including staff, to laugh a lot. The three of them dressed up as girls, they wore wigs, yellow shirts, and shorts. They did a skit where they tried out for cheer and performed a cheer called “Animo.” They spelled out the letters A-N-I-M-O with their bodies. The cheerleaders had to decide  if they should be in the team, and they said yes.

There were also contests between the different grade levels, other teachers and staff performing skits, the cheerleaders performing two cheers and a dance to the song “Applause” by Lady Gaga, and awards given out to one student from each grave level for the different departments between other awards as well.
