Celebrating two new dash stops

Saturday, March 8 Animo Jefferson Middle School and Animo Ralph Bunch High School will be celebrating the two new successful Dash stops in the gym at 1:30 pm through 2:30 pm.

This event’s purpose is to celebrate the two new Dash stops on 32nd and Long beach, and on 32nd and Nevin. Former council woman, now  General Manager of the Economic and Workforce Development Department for the city of Los Angeles, Jan Perry and, Supervising Transportation Planner, Susan Bok will be present at the event. Perry and Bok will be presenting along with some parents and cheerleader captain, Ayla Martinez. Toward the end of the event AJCMS and ARB’s cheerleaders will preform.

To make these Dash stops possible AJCMS and ARB’s parents and community members petitioned for them. Parent Coordinator, Brenda Seratto  said that thanks to Perry, Bok and many parents  the dash stops was made possible.”The dash is important to the schools because they provide safety and its easier to get home for the students,” said Serrato. Serrato hopes that lots of people will show up and that many parents will participate speaking about their opinions.
