Why she hasn’t left JMS

“No I’m not bored of my job, because everyday is something new. You get to experience different kids every year and you get to grow relationships with those kids. You grow closer to some of the kids then others when they tell you about their personal lives, how they hangout with you and how much you mean to them when they write you notes.

I feel like once you talk with certain students and you build that relationship with them and you keep pushing them to be better in school, getting better grades and behaving better at home. If I can help them feel better about themselves, that inspires me to keep doing my job and it makes me happy to know that I helped them with something they were struggling with. I also love my co-workers. I feel that we are one big family here at AJMS. That’s what makes me feel like I never have to worry about feeling out of place.”
