Sneak peak into eighth grade dance and t-shirt results
There will be great activities for eighth graders to participate throughout the rest of the school year, as well as many requirements that eighth graders need to meet. The requirements for participation are the same as the culmination requirements.
Eighth Grade Requirements:
-May not receive suspension as of May 9
-If sent to the office by a teacher starting May 23, the student will become ineligible (not allowed) for all eighth grade activities and events students
-Must pass all classes (minimum of 1.0 grade point average)
-Parent hours must be completed, 35 hours each year (105 hours total)
-Students cannot miss more than 15 days in one semester in order to culminate (graduate)
The eighth grade dance theme will be Mardi Gras (masquerade dance). In addition, the color for eighth grade shirts will be blue. Blue received 95 votes, white received 57 votes, and yellow received 7 votes. Mardi Gras received 100 votes, Enchanted Kingdom received 38 votes and Under the Sea received 33 votes.
The dance will be at the Ahmason Senior Citizen Center, 3980 Robertson Lane, Los Angeles, CA 90037. The cost is $25.00, including food, music, unlimited photo booth, etc… The dance is from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m
So, in order to participate in great activities like the eighth grade dance on May 30, these requirements must be met.
