Two more spirit days for AJCMS

English teacher Kristin Bowyer is wearing her college sweater. She wore it for College Day (a day were college visitors came in to talk to students about college), which was a day before College Gear Spirit Day.

On April second and April eighth, Animo Jefferson Charter Middle School continued with College Gear and Music Band and Artist T-Shirt for the Spirit Days.

College Day Spirit Day happened on April second. This Spirit Day was part of the College Week event at AJCMS. The students wore clothing with different college logos to show their College Day spirit.

On April eighth, Music Band and Artist T-Shirt Spirit Day took place. Students got to wear merchandise and shirts of their favorite bands or artists, or as some teenagers call it, “band merch.” Principal Sue Jean Folkes made an announcement at the beginning of each period with the soundtrack of a different songs.

Eighth grader Michelle Esparza said, “It was awesome, but it would be better if they did it more often.”

There was a competition between the different grade levels to see which grade participated the most on all of the different spirit days. All three grades had a close total of people participating and at the end eight grade won. As a prize, the eight graders will be receiving ice cream.
