Since eighth grade is coming to end, eighth graders are making a big step to a new chapter in their lives. They are going to high school, which people are having mixed emotions about. They are either feeling excited or nervous about going high school.
Jay’Onna Moore said, “I am very excited to go to high school because I want to experience a new environment and meet new people.”
Jeremy Urbina said, “I am glad to leave middle school. I am glad because I can finally play high school football which can then push my future and promote my ways of possibly making it to the NFL.”
Belen Ramirez said, “I am excited to go high school so I can meet new people and make new friends.”
This shows that some students are happy to go to high school and to experience new environments and different things that high school has to offer.
Jayden Cabrera said, “I am very nervous about going to high school since its going to be a new place for me and it going to be hard for the change of going from middle school to high school.”
Paulette Fernandez said, “I am a little bit excited to meet new people but am also nervous because the classes are harder.”
Isabella Samayoa said, “I am not very excited for high school since I turned down my dream high school and now am going to Ralph Bunche.” This shows that some people are either scared or not excited about going to high school.
High school is a place where you learn new responsibilities and get more independence. Students will have have mange a new schedule, different teachers and different school layout. This can be very overwhelming and stressful since this will be a lot for them to get used to and learn. They may also stress out about their grades since it will be more important in high school than middle school.
