Adrian Salgado, an anti-social individual who enjoys art and hanging out with friends, finds schoolwork stressful but engaging in art and AP government classes. He struggles with early morning AP English literature due to the uninteresting content. Outside of school, Adrian enjoys playing video games like Block Tales, Clash Royale, Brawl Stars, Clash of Clans, Geometry Dash, Pokemon Go, Plants vs. Zombies 2, Battle Cats, and Nikke. He also listens to background music from these games and occasionally plays music while working on college readiness tasks. Adrian’s hobbies are primarily computer-based due to his senior year responsibilities.

Luna Salgado-Perales: So tell me about yourself.
Adrian Salagdo: Well, I am not so much of a social person. I’m like somewhat an anti social person. I like to stay at home a lot. I don’t particularly like school. The only fact that I like school is, you know, hanging out and, like hanging out with friends. That’s what I mostly enjoy at school, also, as well as, like art class, since, like, I could just, you know, since like, art can be somewhat a part of relieving stress or anything having your mind. And another thing for myself is like I would sometimes, no I would take care of my little siblings when my parents are busy. I-
LS: Do you like to draw during art class?
AS: There’s nothing like to draw. Sometimes it’s just mostly my free time. But when I have to draw, just mostly the assessments I have to do, which particularly takes about a whole week for the assessment to be finished. Not like I take that long, but supposedly that’s like the due date of the work to be done, and some most of the times I get it completed. But for now, I’m kind of being held back because one of the assessments has to be done within class, because I have to do in a gold leaf assessment, which is where I have to apply a medium, which a medium is basically like a type of texture or whatever, which I have to add five mediums, and one of the mediums have to be gold leaf.
LS: So what is, what is one of your hardest class in high school?
AS: Uh I think I wouldn’t call it the hardest class in high school. I would just mostly call it like the hardest to concentrate, which is AP, English literature, since, like, it’s like, early in the morning and nearly the 15 minutes of class I have to read, which kind of makes me sleep, because the book that I got isn’t that much interesting. Well, some parts of it is, but most of it isn’t, and that’s just a class that I find it hard of concentrating.
LS: Makes sense, because reading or writing about English, especially math, is really difficult to concentrate on but-
AS: I wouldn’t to Say anything about math but English, yeah, little bit difficult to concentrate when, when it’s early in the morning.
AS: All
LS: Right, do you have any favorite subjects about class or anything-
AS: In school?
AS: Probably the-
AS: Thing really, have a few favorite subjects. Probably one of them is art. Especially the art class I’m taking is called Advanced Visual Arts, which we learn more about about techniques of art and like, more about people that are artists and using more materials that we haven’t used before. In an other art class, and another class that I like or that I favor is what I favored. Of is AP government. It’s somewhat relatively, you know, a little bit easy, but at first, during the semester, I didn’t have my brain to concentrate much, because still trying to focus or find a way how to have-
AS: How to do the work?
AS: Within the classes. And another class that I say that I like or that I join is AP, cats, even though I don’t have a really good grade, such as, like, a C, which is still considered a passing I still have, like, during the C’s , I still had, like, the same thing I was talking about AP government, like, still finding a way of how to do work around him. And, like, I like the subject math, because maybe, like, a few years ago, I liked math. It was really easy for me. That’s like, pretty much enjoying, yeah, pretty much enjoyed it. And I think those are the only subjects I enjoy. Some subjects that I like are environmental science. It’s somewhat of a pretty easy class, but the sometimes when doing like tests or quizzes, sometimes the knowledge of my knowledge from my brain could just go away and I’ll just be dumbfounded. So those are just the classes that I enjoy, and also environmental science is somewhat easy.
LS: So outside of school. Is there any hobbies you like to do?
AS: Outside of school? Hobbies I like to do is mostly play games. If I have time, I would just play games on my computer. Since now that I am in my senior year, I have to do much more work on computer, which is taking my time off of playing games, which isn’t a bad thing for me, since I am still studying, and most of the work I’m doing is just from college readiness, which is just trying to prepare me for college and stuff like that, which the work I’m mostly trying to do is my pics …
AS: And another hobby?
AS: That that I do outside of school is mostly listening to music. And listening to music kind of comes around when I’m doing something like productive or like something like if I’m doing work or if I’m walking, that’s what I mostly use music for, but I just mostly play game more than music.
LS: What music do you like then, Adrian?
AS: Music that I mostly like. It’s it’s like a type of genre. I mean, I wouldn’t call it a genre, but it would be music that I listen to is like background music video games. I don’t know what it is, but music from video games kind of sound nice, and music that I’m listening to is basically representing, like retro versions of games like someone like a game called Roblox. The game that I play in there is block tales, which the game itself has its own has its own background music, such as battle music and background music when adventuring in the game sometimes also has theme music as well. But one music that I like, particularly listening to is Komodo Dragon, which is a song from, you know, from Block Tales and Roblox. Another, yeah, no, all the music I listen to, mostly is video is video game background musics since, like, they sound really good. Another type of game that I listen to is, I call it, um forgot his name. It’s, uh, another game of Undertale. Oh. Delta Room. Delta Rune is another one that I listen to. One of them that I listen to is one of the music that I listen to in Delta Rune is Ruder Buster, since it’s like in a another upbeat version of of a music that the game had in its first chapter.
LS: Okay, can you tell me what exactly is Block Tales.
AS: Block Tales is basically in a RPG game where basically you the character goes back in time of where basically you the character goes back in time of basically trying to collect all the swords from for a developer who has been injured during an incident between two characters.
AS: Basically what Block Tales is, is basically-
AS: You going around and collecting swords, collecting swords part which is part of the game, which part of the game is called Block Tales. I forgot what the full title of the game, but the game or the title is Block Tales, which basically it’s like, as I said, it’s an RPG game, and you also adventure out places where you sometimes counter enemies, attack enemies or counter bosses. Of the games, sometimes the bosses can put it either three ways or four ways, or they can be four bosses or more. Right now, the game is still in the development of other chapters or such as demos as how the game calls it, since that, since it’s supposed to be the old era of Roblox, since that’s what the developers are trying to do, and also within those within also progressing in the game you have you collect swords which those swords has certain unique powers within them, and there’s only up to seven swords up to what I know about.
LS: All right, that sounds interesting.
LS: Well,
LS: I do have one more question? My question is that, um, so you really told me all your favorite games, right? Or is there more games that you haven’t told me yet?
AS: There’s more games that I’ve played before. You know there’s so there’s clash radio I play in the game by Supercell. Another two games I played as by Supercell is Brawl stars and Clash of Clans, although Clash of Clans and Clash Ray are somewhat, somewhat like the same game.
AS: Played differently, a game-
AS: That also played is Geometry Dash. Since I someone like the music in the game, but mostly they’re just to complete a game, another game that I also play, Pokemon Go. It’s created by the company of, I think probably Pokemon that, like the creators of Pokemon that meet, they made Netflix series or the show series of Pokemon, which Pokemon Go, is basically where you can go around, and it tracks of where you are, and it shows parts of the area around you where You can go ahead and capture Pokemons, do raids, spin.
AS: I think, like spin,
AS: I forgot, but you could be able to spin, spin some things around the world within the game, and you get rewards. Another game that I play is plans for the zombies, too. I’ve been recently playing it since like I’ve seen other people play it, which pleasure zombies to a game where you with plants had to defend a person named Dave with a electric talking RV van against zombies. That a game that I play is battle cats, which is where you have set a team of cats, and you battle against variants of animals. Some animals can be used with different strategies, or animals can be used for different strategies, or simple strategies with cats and mostly around you just go around, supposedly within states or countries of the game. Another game I play is Nikkei, which is a game where, supposedly, it’s like in the future of the world, supposedly female robots are the one that are in control, not really in control, but they’re the one that are supposedly able to take down raptures. Which have which raptures are the ones who have taken over the world? Which is where you the commander who has been underground the ark, which the Ark is like a whole world underneath the surface, where you get trained and you progress throughout of trying to reclaim the world.
