Summing up the pep rally
On Friday October 10,2014 Student Council held a Pep Rally to pump up students for school.
Nathaniel Broguiere, Student Council adviser, said “It’s to help kids get through October, its the worst month.”
Broguiere also said how it felt to be on stage and he said “I was very comfortable on stage because we had practice for three hours.”
He also believes this affects students and makes them want to come to school and, also to be eager for the next rally and the majority was just bragging on the how the school is just awesome. The rally was a success with minimal fails, the only one was that the music wasn’t loud enough.
After all the students sat down in the gym Nathaniel Broguiere, Jaime Carbajal, Adam Davis, Carl Finer, and Francisco (Javier) Alvarado surprised the students with a dance. In their first attempt, they failed to dance correctly due to the music not being loud enough, thus, making the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders laugh. They succeeded on their second attempt and made a great show. There were also three events in which the two students of each grade were chosen to race in a potato sack, the three-legged race, and to keep the balloon from touching the ground. The three-legged is where two students had one of their legs tied together, thus the name of the game “Three-legged race” and their goal was to get to the other side of the gym.
8th grader, Kenneth Carrillo, participated in the potato sack race, and he said that “It was fun and it was my first time up there.”
Also, many might not know that the students that started 6th grade three years ago have won the Animo spirit award three times in a row!
