At the end of the year, eighth graders have their last dance known as the “Eighth Grade Dance.”

Teachers are excited that their one time known eighth graders used to be shy little cute children are all growing up into teenagers. Teachers looking forward for all eighth graders to attend. As time flies, the day is coming up. Student picking out outfits and struggling to decide what to wear. While others are happy for this upcoming day.

“It’s our last dance to be with our friends,” said eighth grader Andrea Ponce.

For many this dance means a lot, “It means everything to me” Randy Aldana said.

Jocelyn Huaroc said, “It’s the last dance of eighth grade and a lot of memories will come from this.”

Although this dance is the last dance for eighth graders, there was an unexpected change. The dance is now going to be held in the gym. This news made some students not want to go to the dance, but others won’t let that change ruin their special moment.

“I think it is worth it because its the last dance of eighth grade and some of the people won’t be going to the same school,” Jocelyn also said. She disagreed in how we do not always get what we want. “I think it is kind of not fair but you gotta take what you can get.”

At the end of the day, we all know that we will all miss each other and enjoy the last and unforgettable 8th grade dance.
