On January 11, 2014, SRLA students ran the Southern Half Marathon and at the end, feeling tired and exhausted, they enjoyed many treats.

Eighth grade SRLA runner, Ana Martinez, felt very excited being with the team. Her favorite part of the race was at the end because there was a lot of treats that people were giving to the runners. “I loved the end of the race because there were many tasty treats to choose from, I couldn’t even decide what to choose,” Ana said.

After a long race, the runners felt exhausted and very tired, but they felt relieved to see various types of cookies and food. There was pizza, muffins, and chips. The only thing that was annoying was the long lines for the food.  The runners had a wonderful time eating across a lake and watching the ducks after running thirteen miles in the sun.
