Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream

A new remastered retro nostalgia game goes back to being popular once again. Tomodachi life: Living the Dream is a remastered game based on Tomodachi Life. This game was first released for the Wii in 2006. Most players had been waiting for years for a remake of the game, especially when face paint got added for the mii’s. Mii’s are customized to represent the player’s face, making them look like they have personality.

Tomodachi life: Living the Dream

There are mii’s that you’re able to make of people that you want on your island. This exposes your whole creativity to go on the mii’s by customizing them. You are able to customize their voices and personality. There is a personality test for personality and you choose what fits the mii by what you think.  When you choose a personality for the mii, there are about 16 unique mii personalities. Depending on the personality of the mii, this would affect how they talk with others. The maximum number mii’s that a player can make are 70 characters. Mii’s can talk to other mii’s.

Puzzle games

There are times when your mii’s would want to play mini puzzle games with you. There are different types of games: 

1. Shadow quiz game: having to guess the certain object showing on the screen while having three options to choose between them.

2. No repeat game: the whole game is not to repeat the same word as the mii says it, like the topic could be about food. 

Most of the games are usually guessing games of certain items in the island. If you get all of them all right, you are able to choose prizes between a small box or large box, which gives out a random item. Even if you lose, you get a random item but most of the items are boxes of tissues or toilet paper.

Friends or just lovers?

Mii’s are able to fall in love or stay as friends if they both want to get close to each other. How to know if a mii likes another Mii is by checking their chat bubble. When it randomly shows a pink color and hearts around the Mii, this means that the mii is having a crush. If the Mii just wants to be friends the bubble is orange. Half of the time you need to help the mii to get out of their shell to talk to another Mii. This would boost their confidence to eventually talk to other Mii’s by showing cut scenes.

Mii emotions 

A Mii’s emotions affect the other Mii’s around them. The Mii’s try to find more possible ways to make other Mii’s happy, which can change their mood and relationships. Most players let their mii’s fight and end up not having a good relationship. If wanting a good relationship, make sure to check what could help them be in a better mood and not be sad nor angry. Mii’s getting angry could lead to getting divorced or even not being friends anymore. Both Mii’s will still talk but not the same as before.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the new Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is a newer version of the old Tomodachi Life game, bringing the experience of the game to a newer generation of people to enjoy for those who never got to play the original.
