Michael Jackson movie
Michael Jackson, also known as The King of Pop, is an American singer and songwriter with his genres spanning from pop, R&B, rock, disco and funk. This movie is about how he became a big star.
It starts off with him as a kid and four other brothers practicing. His oldest brother’s name was Marlon Jackson, the second oldest was Jackie Jackson, third oldest was Tito Jackson, and the fourth oldest brother was Randy Jackson. Then it was the youngest, Michael Jackson. He was forced to perform in his family band called the Jackson 5 by his dad Joe Jackson.
After their initial success they moved to California and Michael wanted to leave the band so that was what he did. His dad was mad but was also happy because he was making a lot of money with his album called “Thriller”, released in 1982. His dad forced him to do a tour and he did it but an accident happened during a Pepsi commercial performance – he had to redo a shot for the sixth time and on the that attempt his hair caught on fire, burning his scalp. They had to take him to the hospital. The sad part was that his dad Joe Jackson only cared that if he was still able to perform.
Michael survived. After he got out he went to visit the kids that had experience the same thing he did. He was going to use the accident money to donate it to the burn hospital. He finished the tour and his dad wanted to do a nationwide tour. The last tour stop was in Los Angeles’ Dodgers Stadium. And on the last song Michael Jackson said, “this will be the last song we are going to perform so think of this as a goodbye song” and he finished the song and left. His dad was mad but Michael didn’t care and he left and that was the last time he performed with his band. He continued making music on his own.
My cousin Xitlaly said, “I think the Micheal Jackson movie was good. I like how we get to look deeper into Micheal’s home life and see what he would go through all those years, in which we get to see how he became independent and successful.
I also asked her what she rates it and she said “Overall the movie was good. I give it a 8/10 and can’t wait for more to come.”
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is an animated movie about two of the most popular Nintendo characters, Mario and Luigi. Mario is more confident as a hero, but Luigi is still the same. They have a new friend named Yoshi. Bowser Jr. helped his dad get out and caused a lot of trouble in the galaxy.
There is also a princess called Rosalina. Rosalina was kidnapped by Bowser Jr. He did that because he wanted to drain her cosmic energy to power his universe cannon destroyer.
In the end Mario, Luigi and Yoshi were fighting Dry Bones, aka Bowser but as a skeleton, and his son Bowser Jr. Yoshi knocks the wand of the cosmos and makes Mr. Game and Watch, who destroys Dry Bones. Mr. Game and Watch was one of the first characters that Nintendo made. Peach saves her sister Rosalina and they lock Dry Bones and Bowser Jr. in jail.
It was a good movie and it has good casting.
Jacob Trejo, an eighth grader who moved away from JMS during seventh grade said, “My favorite part is when Bower and his son Bowser Jr. met after saving him.
He said he might be willing to watch the movie again.
“If I was bored, yes,” he said.
He gave the movie a 6/10.
