Watch this book series on Netflix!

The Wide Window is the third book in the Series of Unfortunate events by Lemony Snicket. The three Baudelaire orphans are having a hard time getting away from this villain named Count Olaf. The three Baudelaire orphans’ names are Klaus, Violet and Sunny. In the first chapter of the book, the three orphans meet their new guardian, Aunt Josephine.

This book has 214 pages and is written by Lemony Snicket (Daniel Handler). The conflict in this book is about Count Olaf trying to get to the Baudelaire orphans’ fortune. They constantly have to deal with moving to different places and having new guardians to get away from Count Olaf. This book is also a Netflix series, where you can watch the suspense and action that goes into the characters and the conflict. This book has action in different parts of the book.

The genre of this book is fantasy fiction, but I feel like it can also be characterized as real-life fiction because orphans or foster kids deal with having to move so many times from home to home with different people, and being an orphan and losing your parents is something that real life kids can relate to.

I recommend this book if you are interested in characters that experiencing fear, but also some type of suspense and action. An emotion that I felt when reading this book was being left in suspense because of what is going to happen to the Baudelaire orphans and their fortune. I feel like in the rest of this book series, there would be continuing suspense leading up to the final book and there could be, or not be, success with Count Olaf and taking in the three Baudelaire orphans and their fortune.
