Black Clover is an outstanding anime book about magic
The book Black Clover, Vol.1, by Yūki Tabata is an outstanding book about magic, grimoires, has lots of adventures, and is about two young teens striving to become the next Wizard King. The main character, Asta, is a young teen, age 15, and is also an orphan with Yuno, who were both left abandoned at an old, small church. Asta wants to become the next Wizard King, but faces a single challenge he can’t avoid, which is having no magic.
Black Clover, Vol.1 only states the beginning of how Asta shows no potential of having magic/mana, getting the Fifth-Clover grimoire, and joining the Magic Knights with one Adventure. In the beginning, you can see how Asta is struggling to keep up with Yuno’s power. But later on the story, when Yuno gets attacked by some random powerful guy known as Revchi, Asta comes to help save Yuno. However, Asta has no magic, so how will he do any damage? Asta doesn’t have magic, but Asta does have a strong, healthy body. So Asta goes to attack Revchi, but fails. But just as Asta was about to give up, a dark corrupted grimoire appeared out of nowhere and this grimoire gave Asta the strength to defeat Revchi. Now Asta has a grimoire of his own as well as Yuno too. And they both promise to compete with each other to see who will become the next Wizard King.
The book Black Clover, Vol.1, is unique is some sort of way. But it has the same plot like other anime books, which is of a guy or girl being weak in beginning, but later on becoming a very strong and powerful character throughout many adventures. When I read this book, I was surprised that the main character was very weak, and useless to his adoptive family. I thought Asta was somewhat helpful, but wasn’t at all. But once I kept on reading throughout the story, you can see how much Asta improved in his physical body and his grimoire too, but not his intelligence.
Overall the book was really surprising for me, even though there are many other volumes of Black Clover. Black Clover, Vol.1 is an anime show too, which is awesome if you want to see the action and fighting without flipping through pages. Also I would recommend this book to people who like anime, are over nine years old, and like fantasy stories that are really awesome.
