Two strangers fell in love the day they met in The Sun is also a Star

The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon has teen romance of two strangers meeting each other in New York. Daniel and Natasha spend time together and they connected right away. They end up falling in love, but there was a problem.

The same day that Natasha and Daniel met, Natasha and her family had to leave to move back to Jamaica because they were in the United States illegally. But by moving to Jamaica, the couple’s bond fell apart because they had no contact with each other. Daniel felt heartbroken when she had to leave to Jamaica, but years later they end up running into each other again and they reconnect.

Daniel and Natasha are different. Daniel believes in God and in love, but Natasha doesn’t believe in love yet. When they spend the day together, they connect and fall in love with each other by making each other’s lives better by putting together their differences to make each other a better version of themselves. This book shows that it is possible for anyone to fall in love, because even though Natasha didn’t believe in love, Daniel showed her that it was possible.

This book is similar to the movie Tangled. Rapunzel and Flynn Rider fall in love with each other, even though they are both very different. One day, he had to come get her out of the hidden tower so she could see how the real world was.  He also did this because he wanted to protect her from her mother. When they spent time together, they learned more about each other and used their differences to make each other better. After, when Rapunzel finds out what her mother actually was, Flynn Rider helped her through her rough times and they both loved each other.

In conclusion, I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading about teen romance and real life situations about deportation when these things happen to families.
