Review of The Lightning Thief

The main character is Percy Jackson, the son of the sea god Poseidon.

This book was about a rebellious sixth grader who has been kicked out of many boarding schools and later was escorted to a camp by his friend, Grover. Then was given a big quest to stop the two gods, Poseidon and Zeus, who are wanting to start a war. He couldn’t have completed it without his two best friends.

Overall I think this book is amazing for people getting into fantasy and Greek mythology.

To support my claim, the author Rick Riordan uses precise description, Such as the smell, the taste, the feelings, the thoughts of someone, making the book so addicting. People who read this book might learn a few things throughout the book. I hated Greek mythology but the book made it interesting Also, Rick Riordan is a #1 New York Times bestselling author. Which is why I believe his books are truly amazing.

I really love the trio Percy, Annabeth, and Grover as they tried to help save the world from another war with the biggest gods in Olympus. Most people argue whether Harry Potter is better than Percy Jackson or not, but in my opinion Percy Jackson is the best as his books sequence so many events. What’s amazing about Percy Jackson is that it’s a huge series and includes the Hero of Olympus after finishing the first series.

While reading the book you will learn about the gods of Olympus such as Aphrodite, Apollo, and much more. Their biggest enemy is Kronos, who is an important figure that makes the book structure c0me together. Much more you will learn throughout the book which I think IS TOTALLY AWESOME?! Learning something new is pretty fun.

Thus in conclusion, I totally recommend this book to a Harry Potter fan. Also, I recommend it for those wanting to learn more about Greek mythology and who are getting into fantasy.
