Pawcasso is a good book to read!

Joanna Lin was just eleven years old and bored. The holidays had just started, with both her mom, sister, her little brothers annoying her.  To get away from all of their annoyance, Jo decided to take a walk when she had passed a grocery store. She decided to walk with the dog and passed by and went into a kids’ art school. When she saw the dog go in she had followed him. Kids got excited and she got overwhelmed. They asked what his name was and she nervously lied and said,  “P- P-Pawcasso.”

This book is full of laughs and rollercoasters of emotions. Pawcasso is a poop rolling-grocery getting- art dog that loves to be around kids. Joanna Lin’s father is not around because of work so she only sees him once every five months. Jo’s mom is stuck up with her being inside all of the time not doing anything so she encouraged her daughter to go outside and do activities or ride her bike.

With the dog’s real name being “Dippy,” it’s hard for the real owner to find their dog when it comes home later than usual. Joanna knows her lie is catching up to her fast and she can’t do anything about it but keep it from catching up so fast. Jo has made tons of friends and became the talk of the block with her “dog” Pawcasso. Pawcasso has shown love and affection to everyone but sometimes he just wants to be on his own. Even Joanna gets worried sometimes and tries to look for him on her very own. He’s usually in the same spot, “Red Stone Park.”

When Joanna got caught up in her lie, she felt terrible and decided to apologize to the actual owner. In order to apologize to the people she fooled, Joanna threw a big dog, and human ice cream party! This book is a huge recommendation and it is right for people who live with dogs. Even for people who hate dogs, this book will definitely put a smile on your face.
