“Everything, Everything” is a romantic book for readers who also liked “Five Feet Apart”
Everything, Everything is a book written by Nicola Yoon. In this book we meet the main character, which is Madeline (Maddy), and she explains how she is basically “allergic to the world,” and because of this, she can’t leave her house. Madeline lives with her mother and her nurse Carla, who checks up on her every day. One day she sees a white truck and a family that’s moving in next door. She sees a guy that is dressed in black, which catches her attention, and that’s when she sees Oliver (Olly) for the first time. Soon Olly, and Maddy become online friends and this causes them to get closer to each other also causing Maddy and Olly to develop feelings for each other.
I would compare this book to Five Feet Apart because in that book, even though the main character (Stella) could leave her house and is not “allergic to the world,” she also had a disease called Cystic Fibrosis, also known as “CF,” and she has to be six feet apart from anybody she comes in contact with that also has the same disease as her. But this is soon difficult for her when she meets a guy that she likes with the same disease as her. In both books, these characters have to keep a distance for health related issues.
I would recommend this book to others that enjoy books about romance. Overall, I would rate this book a 9/10 because of the way the author used precise details to express each character in the book.
