“When I was a child, I wanted to be a musician to play the clarinet, but however, I realized I only enjoy it more as a hobby as it less stressful. I realized how much practice you have to be a professional clarinetist and after practicing in high school, I was burned out. When my family moved across the country from New York City to LA, it was hard because I didn’t know anyone. I met other musicians in LA and it inspired me and made me want to keep going. I like to see students become inspired and find new interests. Do not be hard on yourself and to do things you love.”
