“In the past three years, I got really into camping. So thankfully, we have the summer is off, and I’ve got the chance to go on some really awesome trips. I’ve gone all the way up the coast, all the way up to Canada driving by myself. This past summer, I did six weeks camping all the way up to Canada. I’ve gone all the way to Montana by myself, camping along the way, I’ve gone to several islands now, and recently, me and another teacher on campus have gotten into backpacking, which is where you take all your gear, all your food, all your water, in a backpack, and you climb up a mountain, and then you sleep on top of that mountain, completely away from everybody and anything. Yes, it is Miss Thomas. Yeah, we’re really close. My favorite parts? Well, one is just this feeling of accomplishment that I get. I feel so strong. I feel like I can do anything especially the trips where I go by myself or climb up a mountain.”
