Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children is a book about a kid named Jacob and his grandfather named Abraham Portland who was more than just abnormal. This story starts with a grandson and grandfather. The grandfather was an unusual old man always telling stories about his peculiar childhood and past to his grandson. Abraham was always telling his grandson odd stories about the kid with super strength and the kid with two faces. Jacob was beyond interested in his stories about all these kids with odd powers. He believed in his grandfather’s stories less and less the older he got but he still listened to his grandpa. One day however Abraham showed his grandson a few photos of the kids who he grew up with: an invisible boy, a girl with super strength, and even a girl who could float. It wasn’t till then that Jacob believed in his grandfather’s stories. So soon enough he went to go find these peculiar kids in a bit more than just peculiar.

I had high expectations for this book, as the cover had a little girl floating on the front and I’ve heard great things about this book. Both of my sisters have read this book and they both loved it and so did I. The book Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children is an amazing book with amazing characterization and an even better plot. I love how the book describes the characters so well and how they even added the images of the kids.

This book is both creepy and captivating. The plot of this book is interesting because of the amount of detail and attention that goes into the story and plot of this book. Overall I would 100% recommend this book to anyone who is into mystery and adventure.
