Why people assassinate
Assassination is the planned killing of a specific person, usually somebody that is important such as a government official or political figure. People commit assassinations for many reasons, but most of the time it’s for political reasons. Researchers study these motives to understand why individuals choose extreme violence. One reason people assassinate is political or ideological beliefs. Some people believe that killing a leader will change a government or stop certain laws.Â
General motives
According to Encyclopedia Britannica assassinations are often to remove leaders, force political change, or promote what an assassin strongly believes in. In these cases, the assassin may see themselves as a hero, even though their actions are violent and illegal. Another major motive is personal anger or revenge. Some people feel they have been treated unfairly and blame a specific person for their problems. These feelings can grow stronger and stronger over time and turn into violent thoughts.Â
Emotional motives
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, many attackers assassinate because they want revenge, attention, or recognition, and not all assassination attempts are political. This shows that emotions can play a large role in why someone commits an assassination. Psychological factors can also influence assassination attempts. Some individuals struggle with beliefs, emotional instability, or social isolation. These problems can make them feel disconnected from society or obsessed with an idea.
Psychological motives
According to Psychology Today, some assassins develop extreme fixations and believe violence will give them meaning, fame, or a place in history. These psychological motives help explain why some people commit assassination even when it will probably harm themselves. In a lot of cases, this mindset is inspired by the feeling of insignificance, resentment, or a desire for recognition that some people feel is otherwise never achievable or unattainable.
Conclusion
To sum up everything that has been stated, people assassinate others for many reasons, including political beliefs, personal revenge, and psychological struggles. By understanding these motives, society can better recognize warning signs and work to prevent future acts of violence. If these problems continue it will be bad for important people.

assassination happens because of revenge or of their political beliefs and of how they feel.

something I learned was that a lot of political people were assassinated because of the thoughts and the actions of the assassins

I wonder if these assassins thought about what could happen if they succeeded.

This makes me question why these assasains throw a hissy fit because someone doesn’t have the same views as them.

Something I learned was that people assassinate other people because they think if they do that then things like laws will change or wont happen.

I didn’t know that people would kill others just because they feel inferior to them

I was surprised to learn one reason people assassinate is because they feel insignificant. It’s crazy the extent that someone might go just to gain fame and recognition, and how it backfires for them entirely.
