Ms. Escobar was a science teacher at Animo Jefferson Middle School.  She taught for two years until she had to leave the school because there was only enough room for three science teachers. She had taught six and seventh graders here at Animo Jefferson.

Ms Escobar is now at a different school called Animo Ellen Ochoa Charter Middle School. She teaches seven graders and eight graders at her new school.

Ms. Escobar said,  “The best thing at my current school is the schedule because we have all periods in a single day. I get to see my students everyday.”

Ms. Escobar’s thoughts on teaching is she is really enjoying it.

She said,  “My favorite part about teaching is seeing students grow over the school years and seeing how much students changed.”

When she was transferring to her new school, she didn’t want to leave.

She had said,  “It was difficult for me at first because I was used to going to a certain building and seeing certain faces every day.”

She was sad at first but over time she met many new teachers and many new students at her new school. It was easy to get used to her new school because they’ve helped her feel welcomed. When she had to leave Animo Jefferson it was sad because she didn’t want to leave but also she also understood that had to leave due to JMS losing a science position due to lower enrollment.

She also said her favorite part about Animo Jefferson.

She said, “My favorite thing about the school was the students. They were all special and unique but every school student’s atmosphere is different.”

Overall, she loves her new school. Even though it was hard for her at firstut she got welcomed by all her students and staff.
