One of the main reasons why songs get leaked is because there are people that hack into artists’ accounts, mostly Apple accounts, and find their leaked files and leak them for the public to share for personal gain and also the chance for fans to listen to unreleased grails. Artists like OsamaSon were hacked by a well-known leaker that has hacked him various times. Although he is not fully known he has still gained recognition for leaking well over 100 SONGS! OsamaSon does not just have hundreds of leaked songs; he has nearly 1,000+ unreleased and leaked songs up to date. 

Another reason why songs get leaked is because of social media livestreams. This is when a song snippet is played in the background of an artist’s livestream. For example, Nine Vicious in June held a livestream before his album “For Nothing.” He previewed a few songs and played one of his most well known, a snippet of “So Many Tears,” due to the hate he got for dissing Lil Uzi Vert with the lyrics ”N***** fall off like they Uzi Came in with a Drac’, got a Uzi (Got a Uzi, shawty).” But recently he cleared things up, calling Uzi “goated” and saying he was young and dumb as F*** and S*****.  Another song that got leaked from a livestream was “Miss Me” by Ken Carson, with many people liking the song so it later got leaked by some “Leakers” (people who hack into artist’s accounts to leak music).

One final reason why songs get leaked is because in most cases the artist previews a song fully and other people save it, so in some cases the artists can’t keep it unreleased. One example is “TIRED ASF” by Nine Vicious and 1300SAINT and how on Nine Vicious’s other Instagram account he previewed the whole song and people have taken advantage of it and it is on streaming platforms. 

Fostijs is one of my favorite leakers/artists that publishes unreleased or Soundcloud music from various artists, mostly from Nine Vicious. He also allows people to enjoy the songs that have not been officially released and leaked. Some of the songs and albums/EPs that have been leaked/unreleased are EM1-2 (short for “EMOTIONS”), Are Y’all Ready?, 9 files, and Gimme A Month from the EMOTIONS album.  This allows people to listen to the music he releases unofficially and that sometimes get leaked.
