You might have heard that many new electric cars are coming out in 2023. They are being made to help the environment because gasoline-powered cars put so much carbon dioxide going out into the air. Lots of car companies are going electric, including famous brands like Dodge, Chevy and more.

Chevy will be coming out with the Chevrolet Silverado EV. With the price of $40,000-$100,000, it’s going to be expensive. With a high price it’s got to have advantages, like 664 horsepower out the factory, easily beating most of the gas powered vehicles. Fully charged, the Chevy Silverado offers 400 miles of driving making it good for long road trips. According to Chevy, their fully loaded Silverado is faster than the Ford Lighting.

The Ford lighting has already come out with horsepower of 426 with about the same price range of the Chevy, with a very quiet sound coming from the vehicle. However, the new 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona SRT concept has an exhaust that makes an actual sound. This is something very unique considering electric vehicles are no sound, just speed. The price starts at $60,000 with horsepower of around 590, but you can pay more for more torque and hp. 

Another car that is going electric is the Mustang. According to Car and Driver, the price is going to be around $50,000, similar to the others. It’s another great family car since it’s an SUV with a range of around 250 miles. All the electric cars being made are very similar in speed or price but still expensive.

This is the future of cars. Whether you like it or not, soon everything on the road is going to be electric. If you decide to buy one, I say try focusing on buying the cheapest one.
